Where We Fly
Flight Experiences fly in Kent and Nortampton

Rochester Airport

Situated in the North of Kent, near the coast, Rochester is a friendly, busy airport.

Aviation started here in 1933 producing aircraft such as the first 4-engined bomber to serve in the RAF, the Shorts S29 Stirling bomber for which Rochester is famous.

Spectators have the opportunity to watch the many and varied aircraft taking off and landing.  The airport boasts a small café (situated next to the Classic Flying Experiences briefing office) which serves home-cooked meals, fresh sandwiches, snacks and beverages with indoor and outside seating.  Should you wish to extend your day with an overnight stay, then there is a good quality hotel right on the edge of the airfield.

Sywell Aerodrome

Set in the heart of Northamptonshire, Sywell boasts one of the best General Aviation Airfields in the United Kingdom and has been a local fixture for over 75 years. It has excellent airfield facilities and a wonderful Art Deco styled Hotel.

Sywell played a key role teaching RAF pilots to fly and established the local RAF Volunteer Reserve. During the Second World War activities at Sywell included the expansion of flying training, repairs to 1,841 of the RAF's Wellington bombers and completion and flight testing of some 260 Lancaster Mk 2 four engined bombers.
